Our packaging is 100% eco-friendly, compostable and biodegradable!
We are always trying to do our very best in making conscious efforts to help the planet and to reduce our carbon footprint. While packing up your item(s), we put lots of love and care into the process.
We love to keep the process simple, in that we only use 2 pieces of packaging. We wrap your garment in a self sealing compostable bag, and then place that into our biodegradable poly-mail bag. The self sealing compostable bag is composed of film that's produced out of renewable PLA that is taken from plant starches (e.g. corn and potato). Our biodegradable poly mailer bag is made from resin.
Interestingly, there is a difference between biodegradable and compostable. If something is compostable, it means it can be broken down consistently with the right amount of heat, water and other external conditions, and not leave behind any residue or harmful bits. All compostable items are biodegradable, but not the other way around. If something is biodegradable, it means it can degrade from actions of naturally occurring organisms, such as bacteria or algae, which work to break things down. Good news, our packaging is both!
Additionally, our clothing tags are even sustainable! They are composed of raw pulp, which is a clean, wood-based, renewable material. Pulp is surprisingly in lots of our everyday products, such as napkins, coffee filters, baby wipes, and can also be found in our fabrics for clothing.
The material we use to attach the pulp-based clothing tags is Jute twine, which is primarily composed of plant based materials, like cellulose and lignin. Its affordable, natural and eco-friendly!
And of course we can’t forget about our A4 postage labels, which are biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. Our labels are kinder to the environment and composed of cane fibre, which is free of silicone.
We are avid in keeping all our products sustainable and honest, and that's how it is going to stay!
